"Ukraine has always been Europe, Ukraine will always be Europe. We have already guaranteed this. A year ago, on the 5th day of the full-scale war, Ukraine applied for membership in the European Union and became a candidate. This year, it is time to make a decision to start membership negotiations," Zelenskyy said.
"It is Ukraine that has united the EU as never before. It is Ukraine that protects European values for future generations. It is Ukraine where Europe is becoming whole, free and peaceful. Together in struggle, together in victory. Long live Europe! Long live freedom!" the President added.
