Valery Zaluzhnyi wrote about it on Facebook.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing the issues of appointing a Jewish military chaplain and providing for the spiritual needs of military personnel. Zaluzhnyi also received from Moshe Reuven Azman a blessing for victory and sincere words of support for Ukraine and the Armed Forces in resisting Russian aggression.

"On the Day of Remembrance of the Babyny Yar tragedy, it is painfully difficult to talk about its repetition in Mariupol, Bucha, Irpin, Izyum and other cities. This war showed who is on the side of good and who is the personification of evil. Rebbe Moshe Reuven Azman clearly says that today it is Russia that is a fascist state. And his authoritative opinion carries a lot of weight in the modern world," the Commander-in-Chief's message reads.

In addition, Zaluzhnyi noted that due to its neighborhood with a country like Russia, Ukraine should become a military state.

"I believe that in the conditions of such a neighborhood, Ukraine should become, by analogy with Israel, a military state," he emphasized.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also thanked Israel for the treatment of Ukrainian wounded soldiers and the humanitarian aid provided.
