Why Olena Zelenska refuses to sit next to Navalnaya

Olena Zelenska declined an invitation to attend President Biden's speech to Congress

“The reason: Navalny's widow, Yulia, was supposed to be sitting next to her,” WP writes.

If this is true, I support Ms. Zelenska's decision.

“The world stubbornly wants to put Ukrainians and Russians side by side, hinting that Putin's authoritarianism affects both. To draw a line between the victim and the aggressor.”

It was the Pope with a religious procession, where a Ukrainian and a Russian nurse walked alongside each other, or various European foundations that simultaneously presented awards to Ukrainian and Russian human rights activists.

The tragedy of the Navalny family and the murder of Alexei in prison does not amount to genocide of the Ukrainian people.

All Russians are responsible for this terrible war. They did not stop it either in 2014 or 2022. On the contrary, they cemented Putin's regime and cultivated Ukrainophobia.

I would very much like the US Congress to be visited by the widows of our fallen heroes. Young, beautiful Ukrainian women who have lost their dearest. Perhaps this would have contributed to a quicker decision by the Congress to allocate aid to Ukraine.
