At the parade in Beijing, China showcased not only its nuclear triad but also its latest weapons, including combat lasers, electromagnetic electronic warfare systems, and hypersonic missiles

This was stated on Espreso TV by Ihor Popov, an expert at the United Ukraine think tank.

"Half of Taiwan’s leadership came to Beijing for the event. In his speech, Xi Jinping thanked the Kuomintang party several times, while Taiwanese leaders said they realistically view the 'one country, two systems' formula — gradual integration modeled on Hong Kong. In reality, neither China plans to attack nor Taiwan plans to fight. This is more of a narrative in Western political discourse than in the actual relations between Taiwan and China," Popov noted.

According to the expert, China displayed not only its nuclear triad but also advanced new weapons.

"With the war on our own soil, we understand that these are the systems that will be fighting over the next decade. China demonstrated combat lasers, electromagnetic warfare systems that suppress all drones, and hypersonic missiles. If we compare this to the most recent parades in Washington or Paris, we see that the West is not prepared for a direct military clash with the Chinese army," Popov concluded.

  • U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are preparing a conspiracy against the United States.
  • Volodymyr Horbach, director of the Institute for North Eurasia Transformation, added that China is increasingly expanding its global influence by using the leaders of Russia and North Korea in hybrid warfare against the West. Beijing aims to undermine U.S. global leadership.
