Ukraine war is giant Ponzi scheme: fake news for February 23

The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of fakes that foreign media produced on February 23

According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on February 23, foreign media launched two fakes and one manipulation.

Disinformation: "Do young people understand that the problems in Ukraine began with the American-led coup in 2014?" said American lawyer and columnist Andrew Napolitano.

Disinformation: "As Ukraine continues to lose this war and grows increasingly desperate, it will increasingly target civilians," said American author Ryan Dawson.

Disinformation: "The Ukraine War is a Giant Ponzi Scheme. It's operated by crooked politicians with grimy and intimate links to the Vast Weapons Corporations making Billions on Dead Ukrainians and the US Taxpayer," Irish journalist Chay Bowes wrote on X.

• On February 22, the Russian media spread fake information that their country had allegedly destroyed all chemical weapons stockpiles in 2017. However, the Russian forces are still using them at the front.
