Trump says he “gets along fine" with Putin and will end war in Ukraine "very fast"

Former US President Donald Trump, who is seeking re-election in 2024, promised to resolve the situation with the war in Ukraine "very quickly" after winning the Republican primary in Iowa

European Pravda reports.

Speaking in Iowa, Trump said that he was able to reach an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as they have a good relationship.

"Putin and I get along fine. We get along very well. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. If the fake news would become real and honest news, 90% of our problems in this country would be solved... The Ukraine situation is so horrible.... we're gonna get them solved and we're gonna get them solved very fast," Trump said.

He expressed confidence that he would be able to engage the presidents of Ukraine and Russia in a dialog.

"I know President Putin very well, I know Zelenskyy very well, I can engage him, we will solve this very quickly. This (war - d.) should never have happened," he added.
