South Korea urges Russia to be responsible in ties with North Korea
South Korea has expressed dissatisfaction with Russia's collaboration with North Korea during the visit by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko to Seoul. His South Korean counterpart Chung Byung-won called on Moscow to exhibit responsible behavior in its dealings with Pyongyang

The meeting between the deputy foreign ministers of Russia and South Korea in Seoul covered discussions on regional security, the Russian-Ukrainian war, and bilateral relations.
Chung Byung-won emphasized South Korea's "tough stance" on Russia's increasing military cooperation with North Korea, urging Moscow to "exhibit responsible behavior."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative also urged Russia to cooperate in preventing any violations of the rights of South Korean companies and citizens in Russia.

Previously, South Korea's foreign ministry had summoned the Russian ambassador to file a complaint regarding Moscow's criticism of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol's comments on North Korea's pursuit of a nuclear arsenal.
