He said it in an interview with Espreso.
Malomuzh stated, "Russia is currently planning provocative actions in Transnistria, utilizing methods such as staged shootouts and drone-related provocations. Our intelligence indicates that the helicopter allegedly destroyed by a drone was already old and non-functional. This incident was orchestrated by Russia to falsely accuse Ukraine."
Malomuzh emphasized that there is no interest in initiating a large-scale war against Ukraine from Transnistria.
He stated, "The military presence in Transnistria lacks the capability and intent to engage in significant combat operations against Ukraine. Russia is unlikely to provide substantial support. Moreover, as for the internal situation in Transnistria, they have no desire to fight. Even Russian military personnel stationed there. They have long adapted to the local conditions, engaging in illicit businesses with Europe. Additionally, over 40% of the population in Transnistria consists of Ukrainians, whose families reside and attend school in Ukraine. Therefore, there is no desire within the region to initiate a large-scale conflict with Ukraine."
