Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko says Russia plans to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Iran "in the near future"

Rudenko noted that Russia plans to sign the agreement in the near future, as the text is nearing completion and all the necessary wording has been finalized.
On April 26, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Ashtiani, during which he announced Moscow's readiness to expand military cooperation with Tehran.
- At the end of May, media reported that Iran had supplied Russia with the latest Qaem-5 guided bombs for the first time to strike Ukraine.
