Putin has one argument left for France and he will use it - Piontkovsky

Washington-based political expert Andrey Piontkovsky says Putin has many sleeper cells of Islamic terrorists in France that he will activate

He said this on Espreso TV.

"Pay attention to one more very important point: the first thing Putin did was to activate his fifth column in Paris. And on the very first day, all the left-wing parties, and the main one, Le Pen, all spoke out about how Macron is pushing us towards a world war, how this is adventurism and so on. But two days ago, Le Pen reappeared on the screen and unexpectedly said that Macron was right, saying that Putin is an aggressor who has violated all laws, and now he threatens Europe, so he must be stopped by all means," the political expert commented.

In his opinion, Le Pen was well handled, probably showing documents about the Putin regime's financing of her presidential campaign, and Macron has secured his domestic political rear.

"Putin has only one argument left regarding France. I am sure he will use it. Putin has many 'sleeper' cells of Islamic terrorists in France, which he will activate. You've noticed that over the past two years, when all Russian special services have been completely bogged down in Ukraine, Islamic terrorist acts in France have stopped. And every time they happened before, one of the participants was a Chechen with a Russian passport, meaning that these cells were controlled by Moscow," Piontkovsky emphasized.
