Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated, "Having studied the experience of the war in Ukraine, we are creating a component of unmanned troops. We are creating units of unmanned aerial vehicles."
Highlighting the broader applications of drone technology, he emphasized that drones can be utilized not only in the air but also at sea and on land.
"Yesterday, at a meeting with the leadership of the Naval Forces, we talked about the use of drones, about how to adapt the technology so that we are not left behind," he added.
- The move aligns with President Zelenskyy's directive on February 6, 2024, instructing the Cabinet of Ministers, in collaboration with the General Staff, to explore the establishment of Unmanned Systems Forces as a distinct force within the structure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
