On March 11, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced the start of exercises aimed at testing the combat readiness of the military

This is reported by the press center of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

"The armed forces have begun checking the combat readiness of formations and military units," the statement says.

It is noted that such a test is comprehensive. Personnel must move to the designated areas and conduct a series of exercises and training, including live-fire exercises.

The Belarusian ministry added that the inspection is expected to involve the movement of military equipment, so there may be temporary restrictions on civilian traffic on public roads and areas.

The National Resistance Center noted that the exercises are also taking place near the border with Ukraine.

"During the exercises, it is planned to move personnel to certain areas, in particular, the border areas along the border with Ukraine," the statement says.

According to locals, the instructors are Russian citizens, but the personnel of the Belarusian Armed Forces do not support this.

"In particular, Colonel Igor Kryuchkov, commander of the separate service of active measures of the Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in a conversation with colleagues, said that he did not like the way Russian military instructors, in particular mercenaries from the Wagner PMC, treated and behaved with the personnel of the special unit of the Belarusian border guards," the National Resistance Center noted.

The activists also believe that the presence of Russian instructors shows that the Kremlin is not abandoning the idea of using the Belarusian military for its own purposes.

  • At the end of January, it became known that the military from Belarus would be trained in Russia, where they would learn from the experience of the Russians in the war against Ukraine.
