Kuleba identifies three key components shaping success of European defense industry
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that three components determine the success of the European defense industry
He said this at the EU-Ukraine Defense Industry Online Forum, the Foreign Ministry's press service reports.
According to the minister, the first component is the establishment of a common defense industry space within the EU, as well as partner and candidate countries.
In particular, the common defense and industrial space will help to overcome the problems arising from the use of different types of weapons and ammunition, the minister said.
The second component, according to Kuleba, is long-term planning, contracts and procurement. He emphasized that the EU strategy has already made an important step in this direction, and “we expect its rapid practical implementation at the national and intergovernmental levels.”
The third component is to strengthen cooperation between the defense industries of Ukraine and the EU.
The Minister emphasized that Ukraine is now a European center of the defense industry. According to him, many governments and companies are already cooperating with their Ukrainian counterparts, and the benefits are enormous.
