On August 19, the Indian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ukraine for the first time since Russia's full-scale invasion

The outlet noted that Modi's visit to Ukraine will take place just a month after his trip to Moscow to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Modi will make the visit at the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had a phone conversation with the Indian prime minister earlier this year.
According to the Indian Foreign Ministry, details of the trip will be announced later that day.
According to Indian media, Modi is likely to visit Kyiv this month.
- On July 8, Indian Prime Minister Modi flew to Moscow to hold talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Afterward, President Zelenskyy criticized the Indian prime minister for meeting with the Kremlin leader on the day of Russia's massive missile attack on Ukraine.
