"I want to take him to frontlines": Zelenskyy announces visit of Trump's special representative Kellogg
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that, by agreement, the U.S. leader’s special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will visit Ukraine on February 20
He made the announcement during an online briefing while visiting the UAE.
Zelenskyy mentioned that he wants to take Kellogg to the front and believes he won’t refuse.
“We’re waiting for Kellogg. We agreed that he would come to us on the 20th. He will be here for two days, maybe more. I want to go to the front with him, and he will go with me. I think he won’t refuse,” the president said.
Zelenskyy also wants Donald Trump’s special representative to understand all the issues and talk to the Ukrainian military.
“I know he will go to Syrskyi, maybe we’ll visit some brigade commanders together, and then we’ll talk separately with the Ministry of Defense, maybe with intelligence,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian president stressed the importance of Kellogg bringing a clear understanding of the security guarantees Kyiv needs back to the White House. He also believes that once the special representative returns to the United States, “we will know when I’ll meet with President Trump.”
- On February 13, it was reported that Keith Kellogg plans to visit Germany, Belgium, and Ukraine from February 13 to 22.
