During the annual party conference in Budapest on January 27, Toroczkai attributed the war in Ukraine to the influence of "international financiers," predicting that it would lead to a war capable of "destroying Europe and plunging the continent's economy." He advocated for an immediate ceasefire, peace, and negotiations for resolving the situation.
Toroczkai explicitly stated, "If the statehood of Ukraine ceases to exist due to the war, Mi Hazank will claim Transcarpathia as the only parliamentary party."
- In a related development, Hungary had previously revoked the citizenship of two individuals from Transcarpathia.
