Local Telegram channels are circulating videos of the smoke-filled city.
The Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, refrained from further comments following reports of a drone incident earlier in the day.
However, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has confirmed the fire, stating it consumed wooden pallets spanning over 300 square meters. No injuries were reported. Thirty-two specialists and six pieces of equipment are tackling the fire, which is purportedly under control.
- On the night of March 12, drones attacked the territory of Russia: explosions were reported in the Moscow region, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh and Tula regions, and hits to oil depots in Oryol and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
