Early Sunday morning, April 28, a fire erupted near the assembly workshop at the KamAZ corporation's main plant in the Russian city of Naberezhnye Chelny
Local Telegram channels reported the information.
Initially, there were claims that the fire originated at the KamAZ car assembly plant in Tatarstan. However, later updates indicated that the fire supposedly started from garbage near the plant.
Videos circulating on social media depict a significant blaze accompanied by thick smoke.
According to the monitoring channel "Crimean Wind," KamAZ serves as the primary supplier of automotive equipment for the Russian armed forces.
Background: KamAZ holds the distinction of being the largest manufacturer of trucks, cars, tractors, and components in Russia. The company ranks among the top ten producers of heavy trucks.
- This incident follows a large-scale fire at a machine-building plant in Voronezh, Russia, on April 22, resulting in three fatalities.
