Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made the statement.
"Starting August 8, Estonia will introduce full customs control on the border with Russia to better ensure that we do not feed the Russian war machine and do not help the aggressor to circumvent sanctions," the minister wrote.
He also emphasized the need to help Ukraine win and raise the cost of war for Russia.
- On July 18, Estonia, following Latvia and Lithuania, banned vehicles with Belarusian license plates from entering the country.
