Chinese-style oil sanctions against Russia

China plans to import a record amount of Russian oil, which India refused to buy because of US sanctions

This is China's "peace plan" - organizing high-profile diplomatic visits calling for "peace" and, in the meantime, feeding the Russian army with money from oil purchases.

China's position has always been that instead of supplying weapons, the West should encourage the "parties" to negotiate. Arms, they say, only fuel the conflict. Of course, Beijing has remained silent about the fact that China itself has been sponsoring the production of Russian weapons through its purchases of Russian energy.

China's long-term objectives in the Russian-Ukrainian war are:

Therefore, the longer the war continues, the more China will try to maximize its benefits.

But there is definitely good news. The reformatting of Russian oil exports from India to China is a clear proof of the effectiveness of US sanctions against Indian companies. And this is important. After all, India is not only the most populous country in the world today, but also one of the leaders of the global South, whose model of relations with the West can serve as an example for other countries that are trying to remain neutral in the confrontation between the "axis of evil" and the West.
