China reveals intent behind military drills with Belarus near Ukraine, Poland

"These maneuvers are in line with international law and are not directed against any third country," Jian said.
He added that joint training between the two countries is a common practice within the framework of military cooperation.
"I would like to emphasize that the joint military exercises between China and Belarus are being held in accordance with the annual plan of cooperation between the two countries," the spokesman said.

- On July 8, the Belarusian Defense Ministry reported that joint military exercises between the state and China had started at the Brest training ground, located near the borders with Ukraine and Poland.
