This was reported by the Canadian Ministry of Defense.
Defense Minister Bill Blair confirmed Canada’s support for Ukraine during his visit to Brussels. He announced that two additional F-16 flight simulators would be sent, adding to the two already provided by Canada at the end of last year.
The Canadian Ministry of Defense noted that these simulators would help Ukrainian pilots practice fighter pilot skills, especially since real F-16 aircraft are limited for training due to combat missions.
The first two simulators Canada sent are already in use by the Ukrainian military, including for practicing instrument landings.
- On February 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands.
