This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“This is a crucial contribution to our resilience. These funds allow us to cover key budget expenditures and ensure we meet the state’s obligations to our citizens,” Shmyhal said.
He also thanked Canada for its support, noting that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received $5.4 billion in direct budget aid from Canada.
On October 11, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko signed an agreement for an additional loan of nearly $300 million with the Canadian government.
