Belarus will teach schoolchildren to interrogate POWs in English

Optional English language course "Military Interpretation" for 10-11 grades will be introduced in Belarusian schools

The program of classes is published on the National Legal Internet Portal, writes Tochka.

Among the objectives of such training is the development of "imagination while participating in simulated communication situations" and the formation of military interpreting skills.

High school students should learn military terminology, acronyms, map classification, and general information about the US and UK armies.

Children will also learn about the life of a soldier, military training, combat training and prominent military leaders, as well as the purpose of NATO.

In addition, pupils should be able to read the content of military documents, translate them into Russian, and identify the insignia of US and British Armed Forces personnel by rank and category.

A separate session will be devoted to the interrogation of prisoners of war.
