Australia issues postage stamp in support of Ukraine

Australia Post, Australia's national postal operator, has issued a stamp in support of Ukraine, which will be available for purchase at post offices in the country in the near future.

“The initiative to create this stamp belongs to the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia, which approached the Australian side with a proposal. The design of the stamp was developed by Australia Post, taking into account the recommendations of the Ukrainian side, in particular Ukrposhta,” the statement said.

It is expected that the stamp will be officially presented on August 24, 2024 in Sydney during Ukraine's Independence Day celebrations with the participation of Australia Post management, the Ukrainian community in Australia and Ukrainian diplomats.

“A stamp in support of Ukraine has been issued in Australia on Independence Day. Australia Post, Australia's national postal operator, has issued a stamp in support of Ukraine,” confirmed Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko.
