
Ukraine war documentary wins BAFTA TV Award. Full list of winners
The BAFTA 2025 TV Awards ceremony took place in London. The film Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods won in the category of Best Single Documentary
Variety reported the information.
On May 11, the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards ceremony took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The award traditionally honors outstanding achievements in British television from the previous year. The ceremony was hosted by actor Alan Cumming.
The BBC Two documentary Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods, created by Jamie Roberts, Kate Spankie, Jonathan Smith, Claire Walker, Stanislav Strilets, won the award for Best Single Documentary.
The Best Drama Series award went to Blue Lights, a show set in the present day at a fictional police station, Blackthorn, in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The award for Best International Series went to Shōgun, an adaptation of the historical novel of the same name, which won 18 Emmy Awards last year.
The series Baby Reindeer took home two awards. Jessica Gunning won Best Supporting Actress, and Weronika Tofilska received the award for Best Director: Fiction.
The BBC drama Mr Loverman also earned two acting awards: Lennie James was named Best Leading Actor, and Arinzé Kene received the Best Supporting Actor award.

Last year, the Hulu series Shōgun became the biggest winner at the Emmy Awards, taking home 18 trophies. Created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks based on the novel of the same name, Shōgun won Best Drama Series and both major acting categories: Hiroyuki Sanada was named Best Actor, while Anna Sawai won Best Actress, becoming the first woman of Asian descent to receive this award.
It was also reported that James Clavell’s novel Shōgun will be published in Ukraine.
