On Thursday, March 6, UK Defense Secretary John Healey and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will discuss a peace plan for Ukraine during a bilateral meeting

The official website of the UK government reports this.

“At their bilateral meeting tomorrow [Thursday], the two Defence Secretaries are due to discuss the plan for peace in Ukraine being worked on by the U.S., UK, France, and European allies,” the statement reads.

The meeting will take place following UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to Washington last week, during which he and U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed that both countries will cooperate on security measures to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine.

The discussion also follows the meeting of international leaders in London last weekend, where allies discussed the need for a lasting peace settlement, with U.S. support.

  • On Sunday, March 2, a summit of European leaders focused on the defense of Ukraine and Europe against Russian aggression began in London.
