The outlet noted that Trump is frustrated that Putin has shrugged off his offer to reset relations with the U.S. after a peaceful resolution.
At the same time, the American leader warned Putin that he is "playing with fire" by refusing to engage in serious peace talks to end the war in Ukraine.
“Putin is getting dangerously close to burning the golden bridge that Trump has set out before him,” a source said.
According to four U.S. officials, Trump has not yet decided whether to impose additional sanctions on Moscow in response to Putin’s intensified attacks on Ukraine.
