Bloomberg reported the information, citing sources.

According to the agency's sources, the meeting could take place this month, though plans have not been finalized and the timeline could shift due to events in Iran, where protests have been ongoing for over two weeks.

A White House representative stated that no such meeting is currently scheduled, while the Kremlin did not respond to a request for comment.

According to one source, it remains unclear how interested Putin is in this second meeting with representatives of Trump's team, and this appears to be the main obstacle to setting a date.

Putin is expected to be presented with the latest draft of a 20-point peace settlement plan that has been worked on by Ukrainian and U.S. representatives, sources add.

The authors note that Witkoff and Kushner visited Moscow and met with Putin in December. During that trip, negotiations lasted nearly five hours but did not produce a breakthrough.

Witkoff has met with Putin in Russia six times over the past year.

  • In early January, U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff announced substantial progress in negotiations regarding bilateral security guarantees for Ukraine.
