Trump driven by vanity, not ambition
At the beginning of Trump’s term, many people (myself included) believed in Donnie’s ambition*
And deep down, there was a faint hope that Trump might hit back at Putin once he realized how he’d been played - and made to look like a fool in front of the whole world.
But the legends about his ambition were greatly exaggerated. In reality, Trump isn't ambitious - he's vain. An ambitious person has a sense of honor. They care about saving face and not looking like an idiot under any circumstances.
Trump isn’t just lacking ambition - he’s a textbook cuckold who, when humiliated, just wipes his face and moves on as if nothing happened.
Marco Rubio's words that Trump would just wash his hands and move on if there’s no progress in talks with the pig-faced thugs were just personally confirmed by Trump himself.
"Of course, let’s not forget we’re dealing with Trump - his words mean nothing. Still, it really looks like the old cuckold took a bite of Putin’s tuna and didn’t like the taste."
An ambitious person would’ve slammed Putin with sanctions so hard he wouldn’t know what hit him. But cuckold Trump didn’t just avoid hitting Putin - he opened the door for him into the world of big politics. For example, the Qatari emir’s visit to Moscow would’ve been impossible under the Biden administration, but Trump gave it the green light.
From the perspective of our war, the sooner the U.S. and its lunatic president pull out of talks with Putin, the easier it’ll be for us to work productively with European allies - without Trump’s ridiculous emotional rollercoasters.
In the end, the old fart halted our weapons supply, helped pull Putin out of political isolation, totally shat himself - and now insists it’s not crap, it’s chocolate.
