Espreso TV channel has run a special airtime with expert commentary and analysis of events.
Trump said his “proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier,” in his inaugural address.
“Like in 2017, we will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen. We will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars that we end, and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into,” the 47th President of the U.S. said.
Trump mentioned the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that came into effect the day before his inauguration. However, the 47th President of the United States did not say a word about Ukraine or helping to end the war with Russia.
“Our power will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent, and totally unpredictable,” he said at the end of his speech.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Trump on his inauguration.
"Today is a day of change and also a day of hope for the resolution of many problems, including global challenges," Zelenskyy said in a statement on X.
