"Strategy that can work": U.S. reviews Zelenskyy's Victory Plan
The United States has reviewed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan for ending the war
This was confirmed by Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, according to Voice of America.
"We have seen President Zelensky's peace plan. We think it lays out a strategy and a plan that can work. And we need to understand how we can contribute to that by working with all the presidents who will be here in New York," Thomas-Greenfield stated.
She added that the U.S. has never given up on finding a path to peace — something President Joe Biden has been "working tirelessly on for over two years."
Matthew Miller, the U.S. State Department spokesperson, also commented on the plan, as reported by Suspilne.
Miller remarked that President Zelenskyy expressed anticipation for discussing the plan in detail with President Biden in the coming days and weeks, and that they would wait for that meeting before drawing any final conclusions.
Miller emphasized that the State Department agrees with Thomas-Greenfield’s assessment but did not comment on any timeline for the plan’s execution.
- On September 16, President Zelenskyy held talks to finalize Ukraine’s Victory Plan in its war against Russia, with key elements now in place.
