After the European Political Community summit in Britain, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's call for Western allies to shoot down Russian missiles and drones over Ukrainian territory

This is reported by the German agency dpa, according to DW.
Scholz's objections also concerned Zelenskyy's request to lift restrictions on the use of Western weapons to strike targets in Russia, the agency writes.
Asked at a press conference whether he agreed with other NATO countries on Zelenskyy's calls, Scholz said: "I see such a consensus that such steps are out of the question, and the United States has also been very clear on this.”
- Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski says Warsaw is considering Kyiv's idea to shoot down Russian missiles heading toward Polish territory while they are still in Ukrainian airspace.
