Republicans will suffer landslide loss in House midterms — diplomat
This week, various American media outlets seemed to coordinate releases with different headlines, but the columns basically said the same thing: Trump isn't what he used to be
Dmytro Dovhopolyi, a candidate of historical sciences, Americanist, and former UN staff member, stated this on Espreso TV.
"Somehow this week, as if synchronized, Washington Post, New York Times, and The Atlantic came out with different headlines, but the content of the columns was essentially: 'Trump is no longer the same. Remember Trump in the first two months, when in the first month he issued 90 presidential instructions and orders, appointed DOGE, dismantled the government, and introduced tariffs. Look at how little energy he has left, that this is essentially just hot air now, not real policy.' This is the kind of mood that's emerging in society. This mood is emerging against the backdrop of very large cracks appearing in the Republican Party. Every day we observe one Republican after another leaving. They're afraid to remain in Congress, but they're leaving politics altogether," he noted.
Dmytro Dovhopolyi remarked that the most important, most immediate elections in the U.S. are the midterm elections to the House of Representatives. In his opinion, the Republicans will lose them by a landslide.
"And so every day, one, two, three of them are leaving. It's still too early to say anything, to predict about the presidential elections. The most important elections that are approaching are the midterm elections to the House of Representatives. In my opinion, the Republicans will lose them by a landslide. Because the mood in society is such that the economy isn't working, the numbers supposedly improved before Christmas, inflation unexpectedly decreased, but we haven't actually felt this fully yet, it's in the statistics. That is, a slight improvement, how it will continue, we don't know. But Epstein, Epstein - this is a very serious story that we still can't fully assess," he added.
