He said this in an interview with The New York Times.

"The president (Trump) is running out of patience, and now we have heard statements that are quite tough regarding Putin and Russia. So I just hope that the Kremlin understands that you don't play games with President Trump," Stubb said.

However, the Finnish leader noted that the White House chief's decreasing patience could "actually move the situation in the right direction," forcing Moscow to stop delaying the issue of a ceasefire.

  • On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the funeral of Pope Francis—for the first time since their quarrel at the White House at the end of February.
