"I will have that settled": Trump criticizes U.S. aid to Ukraine
Former President Donald Trump vowed to address the volume of U.S. aid to Ukraine before re-entering the White House
Trump stated it at a pre-election event in Detroit, clips of which are circulating on X.
Trump expressed his frustration with Ukraine's constant requests for aid.
"I think Zelenskyy is maybe the greatest salesman of any politician that's ever lived. Every time he comes to our country, he walks away with $60 billion dollars," Trump emphasized.
Despite his criticism, Trump mentioned that he "likes Zelenskyy" because of his actions during the scandal leading to Trump's first impeachment.
"He just left four days ago with $60 billion. And he gets home, and he announces that he needs another $60 billion. And it never ends. It never ends. I will have that settled prior to taking the White House as president-elect. I will have that settled," Trump stated.
- Trump also might terminate the bilateral security agreement with Ukraine if he wins the next election, according to the Washington Post.
