Germany sees no issues with Ukraine using Leopard tanks in Russia
The weapons that Kyiv receives from its partners become Ukrainian, including German Leopard 2 tanks. Therefore, Ukraine can use them at its own discretion
This was stated by the Chairman of the Defense Committee of the German Parliament Marсus Faber, WAZ reports.
He emphasized that he sees no problem in Ukraine using the weapons provided by Germany, including the Leopard 2 main battle tank, on Russia’s territory.
"Once transferred to Ukraine, these are Ukrainian weapons. This applies to any material, including Leopard 2... With Russia's attack on Ukraine, the territory of both countries is a war zone. The use of weapons is governed by the provisions of international law," said the chairman of the Defense Committee.
It should be noted that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has not yet spoken on this issue.
