China refutes Zelenskyy's claims of trying to disrupt Peace Summit
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said that her country has never “fanned fire or fuelled the flames” of the Russian-Ukrainian war
The Guardian reported the information.
According to Mao Ning, China believes that all efforts to support peaceful measures in the Russian-Ukrainian war should be recognized.
These words came after Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia and China of trying to weaken the planned Peace Summit in Switzerland.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman emphasized that China attaches great importance to relations with Ukraine and remains its largest trading partner. She added that Beijing's position on the peace conference is very “open and transparent.”
“We believe that we can get the understanding and support of all parties,” Mao said.
Background

Commenting on China's refusal to participate in the Peace Summit, the Russian leader's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “We support this approach.”
