Borrell urges South Korea to boost support for Ukraine
During his visit to South Korea on November 4, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell called for increased support for Ukraine amid reports of North Korean troops being sent to aid Russia

Reports indicate that Borrell discussed the issue with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, focusing on the implications of North Korea sending troops to Russia to fight against Ukraine.
"I met Defence Minister Kim Yong Hyun on DPRK & other common security challenges. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is an existential threat. The Republic of Korea is best positioned to understand it. We are united in our support to Ukraine. I encouraged them to step it up," Borrell emphasized.
- Recently, in response to questions on whether South Korea might provide weapons to Ukraine in light of North Korea's support for Russia, Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul stated that all options are on the table.
