The ex-head of the State Nuclear Regulation Inspection Hryhoriy Plachkov shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"If Russia leaves the Zaporizhzhia NPP and withdraws the military and representatives of Rosatom from the site, it will become a second Kherson for them. They hold it as an instrument of blackmail and intimidation of the whole world," he said.
According to him, Russia will hold on to the ZNPP by all possible means and methods, because it uses it as a military base.
"They understand that our military will not recapture it using high-precision artillery or MLRS, and for them the station is a shield. In my opinion, this will be a big loss for them, which we are all waiting for. They will not be able to hold the ZNPP," Plachkov concluded.
