White Angels police evacuate three orphaned children from frontline New York

Three orphans were evacuated from the frontline village of New York, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, by the White Angel police

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

White Angels evacuated 11-year-old Yana, 9-year-old Denys and 7-year-old Anya.

The children were left without parents in the war zone. Their mother recently died of a sudden illness, and their father died a few years ago.

The video shows how carefully police officers help children put on bulletproof vests.

The soldier in the car says that the children will first be taken to a medical facility for examination, and then to their relatives. He adds that they have to drive very fast on their way because they know that they could come under fire. The house where the children lived is too close to the front line, many buildings have already been destroyed, and it is extremely dangerous to stay there.

"Mum, dad, grandma, grandpa – all our loved ones are now in heaven," said Anya.

Her brother and two sisters had to survive the loss of their closest people and massive Russian attacks, as their home was damaged by enemy shelling.

"The rocket flew and hit the club directly. Our ceiling was destroyed, windows were smashed and a hole was made in the foundation. And there's a hole in the garden," said the 7-year-old girl.

Denys explains that during the shelling, the children lay down on the bed and covered themselves with blankets: "We didn't go into the basement because it could be covered with rubble."

Police evacuated children from under fire in the village of New York.

The children are currently staying with their cousin's family in the Kyiv region.
