"What are you fighting for?": Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff appeals to Russian army and tells how to surrender
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published an appeal to Russian population and the military with a call to think about why they are fighting in Putin's war
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states on Facebook.
"You are cannon fodder and no one counts losses. Ask yourself, what are you fighting for? For your leaders' fear of losing power? For their way of life, created on money stolen from you and your families? For their stupidity and incompetence? "Ukraine has never threatened Russia. Today, you are not at war with NATO. No matter how much Kremlin propagandists tell you about it. You are fighting against Ukraine," the appeal says.
Russians were reminded that they are on the territory of a foreign country and are participating in the war crimes of Russian leadership.
Instead, Ukrainian Armed Forces protect their people and their country from Russian aggression, and Ukrainian soldiers are ready to defend their Motherland till the end.
"Save your life and future. Refuse to participate in Putin's bloody war, lay down your arms for the sake of your safe and peaceful future," Ukrainian Defense Forces urge.
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine advises Russians to surrender. They will be guaranteed compliance with the Geneva Conventions on Prisoners, medical assistance, and contact with family and friends.
