Western tanks at front will be supported by Ukrainian artillery - Reznikov on Bohdana self-propelled guns testing

Western tanks at the front will be supported by Ukrainian artillery, and soon Ukrainians will be presented with new drone technologies

This was announced by Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov on Facebook.

"The Defence Ministry did not advertise it, but over the past year we have not stopped purchasing weapons and military equipment from domestic manufacturers. Wherever possible, within our competence, we facilitated deployment to new locations and increased capacity. Similarly, last year, after a critical period when a significant amount of resources was spent on imports of defence-related items, the defence ministry prepared a transition so that in 2023 the maximum amount of funds would be allocated to Ukrainian producers. This applies to all components - from uniforms, footwear, body armor and UAVs to heavy weapons and ammunition," the statement said.

In the photo, the Minister of Defence showed a Ukrainian self-propelled artillery system Bohdana of 155-mm caliber.

"One such artillery system has been successfully tested on the battlefield. The Defence Ministry financed new artillery systems in the spring of 2022. The Western-made tanks, which will arrive in a few months, will be supported at the front by Ukrainian artillery in all senses of the word," Reznikov wrote.

He emphasized that the Defence Ministry will soon present the first results of the UAV development.

"I have already voiced my approach. Ukraine should be as independent as possible in all components of defence wherever possible. This makes our country a desirable partner and strengthens our position. That is why the Defence Ministry will step up its efforts to stimulate Ukrainian producers," Reznikov wrote.
