"Well-planned powerful explosions" - Danish officials on cause of leaks on Nord Stream gas pipelines
According to the results of preliminary investigations carried out by the Danish police into leaks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, it has become clear that the damage was caused by powerful explosions
This is reported by the Associated Press.
In a statement, the Copenhagen Police said it had carried out a number of preliminary investigations of what it called “the crime scenes,” with assistance from Denmark’s Armed Forces and in collaboration with, among others, the Danish security and intelligence agency.
"It is very serious, and this is by no means a coincidence. It doesn’t just seem planned, but very well planned," Danish Defense Minister Morten Bødskov said and added that further investigation of the incidents will be conducted by a joint investigative team.
The Danish authorities cannot yet say when the investigation is expected to be completed.
