Ukrainian serviceman predicts how fighting will unfold in winter in Kherson region

Ivan Tymochko, head of Ukraine's Armed Forces Reservists Council, said that in winter the Ukrainian army will be able to improve their logistics on the left bank of the Kherson region due to the freezing of the Dnipro River

He told about this on the air of Espreso TV channel.

"On the left bank of the Kherson region, Krynky attracts the most attention. Before that, there was a bridgehead near Antonivskyi Bridge. In fact, the situation in this area is developing in our favour. Now the Dnipro will be freezing and this will allow our troops to cross the river and transport heavy equipment. Building pontoon ferries is a great idea, but it is a very complicated process. In addition, these are narrow roads that will be easy targets for enemy aircraft. When the Dnipro freezes, it will help expand the logistics of the Armed Forces on the left bank of the Kherson region," explained Tymochko.

The serviceman stressed that the expansion of the bridgehead on the left bank of the Kherson region allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to move faster towards Crimea.

"The bridgeheads on the left bank of the Kherson region pose a very serious threat to the Russian occupation forces. Our troops have gained a foothold there. Further advancement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will allow us to target Russian occupiers from the flanks. In fact, the foothold on the left bank of the Kherson region keeps the occupiers engaged in the defense of Crimea in tension. They understand that they will be next," he added.
