Why Scholz is hesitant to transfer Taurus to Ukraine?

Taras Zhovtenko, an international security expert from the Democratic Initiatives Fund, notes that Scholz reasonably explained his fear of transferring Taurus to Ukraine

He said this on the Espreso TV channel.

"The argument that Scholz is using today was already voiced by the Germans last fall. This argument concerns the need for German experts in Ukraine for the proper use and programming of Taurus missiles. These missiles are technologically specific. Therefore, to use them correctly, a full contingent of German military personnel or, at the very least, engineers capable of programming the missiles and inputting coordinates is required," explained Zhovtenko.

According to an international security expert from the Democratic Initiatives Fund, Scholz provided a reasoned explanation for his fear regarding the transfer of Taurus to Ukraine.

"Last fall, Scholz hinted at this, but now he has specified and reasoned his fear regarding the transfer of Taurus. The French and British have provided us with missiles of a similar type, but it is evident that they can remotely verify the coordinates that our specialists input into the missiles before launch, and to control the process itself. Perhaps Germany does not have such capabilities," noted Zhovtenko.
