Ukraine receives F-16 fighter jets from Netherlands

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this.
“The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received the long-awaited reinforcement - the first French Mirage 2000 and F-16 fighters from the Kingdom of the Netherlands,” he wrote.
The head of the defense ministry emphasized that the combat aircraft are already in Ukraine and will soon be deployed to perform tasks.
“The support of the Netherlands is another important step that brings us closer to victory and ensures reliable protection of Ukrainian cities and citizens,” Umerov emphasized.
- Also today, Ukraine received the first Mirage 2000 fighter jets from Paris, as reported by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
- Earlier, Umerov announced: Kyiv will receive another batch of F-16 fighter jets in 2025. The Netherlands will also continue training Ukrainian pilots, engineers, and technicians.
