Ukraine, India hold talks on defense industry cooperation
On Saturday, October 26, representatives from Ukraine and India met to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry

Ukraine's Ministry of Strategic Industries reported.
Herman Smetanin, Ukraine’s Minister of Strategic Industries, met with Indian Ambassador Ravi Shankar and Naval Attaché Santosh Belliappa. They discussed the potential for collaboration between Ukraine and India in defense.
Smetanin emphasized that India is a strategic partner for Ukraine.
"We're open to expanding partnerships in the defense sector and ready to consider different ways to cooperate. It's crucial to understand what both our countries need and can offer to identify key issues and our future direction," he said.
In response, Ambassador Shankar welcomed the proposal for expanded cooperation and assured Smetanin of the embassy's support in developing specific initiatives.
- Ukraine and India signed several key agreements with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi present.
