French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu said this in an interview with Var-Matin.
Lecorneuil was asked how he reacts to criticism of the arms supply from the French Armed Forces to Ukraine. According to the journalist, this "may weaken the security of France".
The Defense Minister replied that the transfer of weapons to Ukraine does not affect France's national security, as they are decommissioned.
"Instead of throwing these weapons and equipment in the trash or giving them to other countries, we are giving them to the Ukrainian army. But I repeat: the defense capability does not deteriorate," he said.
