Moldova's president, US and Estonian ambassadors call on allies to support and "arm" Ukraine as quickly as possible after another Russian attack
Moldovan President Maia Sandu, US and Estonian Ambassadors to Ukraine Bridget Brink and Anneli Kolk commented on Russia's new massive missile attack on the morning of January 2 and called on allies to help Ukraine with weapons
They wrote about it on Twitter (X).
"Putin is ringing in 2024 by launching missiles at Kyiv and around the country as millions of Ukrainians again take shelter in freezing temps," Brink said.
The ambassador added that loud explosions were heard in Kyiv in the morning.
"It’s urgent and critical that we support Ukraine now - to stop Putin here," Brink emphasized.
President of Moldova Maia Sandu also emphasized the importance of continued international support for Kyiv.
"Moldova strongly condemns this aggression and stands firmly with Ukraine. Unabated international support is crucial for Ukrainians to defend their sovereignty and people," the Moldovan leader assured.
In addition, Ambassador of Estonia to Ukraine Anneli Kolk also called for the quickest possible arming of Ukraine, which is capable of stopping Russia now.
"Loud and louder explosions in Kyiv. The city is covered in black smoke. Sheltering again, the third time this year. Terrorist Russia is a coward, targeting civilians. We must arm Ukraine as soon as possible, they are able to stop Russia now," the Estonian ambassador wrote.
